Our Commitment to Privacy
Liquid Marketplace will never disclose, sell or lease to any third party any Personal Information that you provide to us, including through any of our websites (including this website) and mobile applications (collectively, the “Services”), without your permission, other than as described in this Policy, or unless we are required to do so by law. Notwithstanding this, the Services may be hosted, delivered by and administered by a third party. Accordingly, the Personal Information provided through the Services will be available to that third party for the limited purposes of hosting, providing and administering the Services.
By providing us with your Personal Information and using the Services, you accept this Policy and consent to its terms, as well as any other terms that are described to you when your Personal Information is collected. If you do not consent, please do not use the Services or otherwise provide your Personal Information to us.
It is Liquid Marketplace’s policy to comply with the privacy legislation within each jurisdiction in which we operate. Sometimes the privacy legislation and/or an individual’s right to privacy are different from one jurisdiction to another. This Policy covers only those activities that are subject to the provisions of Canada’s federal and provincial privacy laws, as applicable.

What is Personal Information?
“Personal Information” is information about an identifiable individual. Personal Information includes but is not limited to your name, residential address, telephone number, [date of birth] and e-mail address.
What Personal Information Do We Collect?

For What Purposes Do We Collect Personal Information?
We collect and use Personal Information primarily for the purposes of:
responding to your communications and inquiries;
meeting legal, regulatory, audit, security, and financial requirements under federal and provincial laws;
sending you press releases, marketing materials or information about scheduled events for which we have your consent to receive; and When sending commercial electronic messages to consumers, you have to comply with Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL).
We do not collect more Personal Information than we require for the purposes for which Personal Information is being collected, unless we are required or permitted by law to collect additional information.
We will notify the individual from whom the information is collected of the purposes for which we are collecting the information. This notice will be provided at or before the time that we collect the Personal Information. Depending on the way in which Personal Information is collected, this may be done orally or in writing.

We use service providers to host our servers, send communications on our behalf, conduct “know your client” and anti-money laundering compliance and process transactions.

Collection of Information From Children
Our Services are not intended for use by and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, you may not use the Services. If we discover that we have such information in our possession, we will destroy it. Other countries and/or jurisdictions may have different minimum age limits, and if you are below the minimum age limit for providing consent for data collection in your country, you may not use the Services.
Retention and Disposal of Personal Information
We implement security safeguards to protect Personal Information against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification, regardless of the format in which the information is held. We use physical, organizational and technological measures to protect Personal Information, such as locked filing cabinets, firewalls, encryption, and employee education.
We will keep Personal Information only for as long as it remains necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. We use secure means of disposing of Personal Information.

Your Personal Information may be stored on servers located outside of Canada and as a result may be accessible without notice to you by the courts, law enforcement and national security authorities of that jurisdiction.

You have the right to withdraw your consent for our use of your personal information. You also have the right to access, update, and correct inaccuracies in your personal information in our custody and control, subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law. We may request certain personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the individual seeking access to their personal information records.
Additionally, residents of the EU have the right to:

While many of our Services are publicly accessible, access to your account information and some of our Services are accessible only through the use of an individual user ID and password. Access to Personal Information
If you have any questions about the accuracy of the Personal Information that we have collected about you, you can have access to that Personal Information in order to verify and update it, unless we are permitted or required under applicable laws to refuse your access to such Personal Information.
You may contact our Privacy Officer at the contact information below to request access to Personal Information that we have about you. We will respond to requests within 30 days.
In the event that all or part of our assets are sold or acquired by another party, or in the event of a merger, you grant us the right to assign the personal and non-personal information collected via the Services.
